Mobilization for Bill 112

The ATD Fourth World movement actively participated in the citizens’ movement which, at the end of the 1990s, campaigned for a law to fight poverty in Quebec. This mobilization led the National Assembly to pass Bill 112 in 2002, aimed at combating poverty and social exclusion.

Today, together with the other member organizations of the Collectif pour un Québec sans pauvreté, we are campaigning for better application of this law and for ambitious measures to eradicate poverty.

In addition, a strong mobilization was carried out at the beginning of 2013 to oppose the social assistance reform project proposed by the government.
